Have a newspaper dated April 13, 1945 with Roosevelt's picture and announcing his death. Also pictures of Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill in it.

Has article of Truman being sworn in as President.  Wondered if it would be worth anything.  thanks, Roland arrowood

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, first elected in 1932, died at age 63 in Warm Springs, Georgia, on April 12, 1945. World War II of course was mercifully coming to an end, though FDR would not live to see final victory over the Axis.

The death of FDR was headline news around the world. Values for FDR death newspapers generally run in the $20-75 range, depending on title, edition and condition. I note that one dealer is asking $365 for a complete 18-page San Francisco Chronicle Extra of April 13, 1945, featuring the bold headline "F.D.R. Dies!" in very fine condition. That seems a little high to me, but some buyer may beg to differ. Collectors love to frame these papers.
